Problem: The client is a leading Food Services conglomerate with a chain of 78 QSR outlets across Nigeria, among other brands like Pizza, Ice Cream and Grill. It needed to grow users. It created a WhatsApp food ordering bot to help consumers buy assorted Nigerian and intercontinental delicacies and pizza from the comfort of their homes. We were tasked with creating awareness and driving usage of the WhatsApp bot among young Nigerians, couples and working class professionals.
Strategy: We developed a landing page and fascinating creatives which were deployed with interactive ads across Google Ads, Facebook Ads and the biggest programmatic ads platform targeting the majority of Android phone users in Nigeria. The text, image, video and rich media ads drove engagements across selected states and devices.
Results: In 1 month, we added 3,300 new users to the WhatsApp bot which grew usage by 277% and revenue from new orders by 98%. The ads were seen by over 2 million Nigerians across websites, apps and social media pages which also increased offline sales in outlets in Benin, Port Harcourt and Lagos during the campaign.
